Berlin nightlife
Berlin is well-known for raging (sometimes illegal) all-night parties at legendary underground techno clubs. But in recent years a throng of more polished, loungelike bars have opened, aiming to attract a somewhat more sophisticated clientele with chic interiors and customized cocktail menus. Nonetheless, traces of the old Berlin remain, and the clubs—mostly legal and well-established now—still put on a good show. (Whispers of a good "Geheimtip," a secret tip for a great underground party, still circulate. But sometimes they're not worth pulling on your Rogans for, since they're just rumors.)
