We were there in March '09 for about a week. It's a Very comfortable, reasonably laid-back smallish hotel....with a helpful desk crew.
Given a choice (with someone else picking up the tab), I'd hjave stayed at one of "better" hotels...most of 'em are VERY cool, seem to be VERY well-run.
And, for afternoon tea, go to the Alvear Palace. I hadn't known what a truly spectacular treat afternoon tea could be. At least at the Alvear, it was a GREAT experience.
