An oasis of coolness and melted mozzarella just around the corner from the bustling downtown commercial strip of Calle Florida, Filo does thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizza in a clublike "art restaurant" environment above the Espacio de Arte gallery. Sparkling ochre walls, a kitschy topless mannequin, and funky music set the scene for customers who come to check each other out as much as to enjoy 30 varieties of tasty pizza. Try the pancetta-and-egg pie called Montello; the Old World standby, margherita; or the frutti di mare, showered with pink Patagonian clams.
Open daily noon to 4 pm and 7 pm to 2 am.
