Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Cairo pre and post Icelandic volcano eruption 2010. Security obtrusive but appreciated. Rooms quiet and view of Nile impressive. "Club" level provided cushioned stay. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful especially 30th floor staff-all were wonderful. Fitness center overlooking Nile was a bonus. If I had to be at a hotel while a volcano delayed my departure the Grand Hyatt Cairo would be very high on my list!!
