You'll have to negotiate a labyrinth of dark covered alleyways to get to one of Capri's oldest pizzerias (it's 70 years young). The restaurant's namesake, Gemma, is no longer with us, but her daughter Giuseppa carries on in the same traditional style that once made this the favorite hangout of Graham Greene. His photo is on the wall, along with those of dozens of other celebrities who still roll up for the thick-crust pies, seafood pasta, delicious fried platters, and antipasto bar. Angle for a seat in the main dining room with its pink color scheme, lobster-pot lights, and fine views, rather than in the less characterful overflow space on the other side of the lane. And leave room for the homemade ricotta-and-lemon pie.

Closed Mondays and December through February.
