Central Vietnam nightlife
Compared to Ho Chi Minh City or even Hanoi, the bar and club scene in Central Vietnam is fairly sedate. In very proper Hue, few places stay open after 9 pm, and only a handful shutter after midnight. Hoi An establishments rev up later and remain open until 1 am on weekends, with a few lock-ins at after-hours joints. Only Nha Trang, Vietnam's best beach destination, plays hard. On weekends, beachfront clubs can carry on until 2 am. Attire in all three places is more casual than in big cities: Jeans and T-shirts are fine.
