Chamonix hotels
The accommodation in Chamonix ranges from simple two-star hotels to a handful of luxurious four-star properties (France does not have five-stars). When booking remember that Chamonix encompasses not just the town but also the whole valley. The town is the most convenient option, but some of the best hotels and most inviting chalets are scattered in hamlets off the five-mile long road between Chamonix and Argentière. All are served by regular ski bus, but having a car is an advantage.
