...check out these sites: Yelp Metromix Time Out Chicago They always have great information and reviews (some are user generated) that can help you find the newest and hottest spots for food and drinks (or anything really!). Whenever I have friends visit me from out of town I recommend that they look at the upcoming events on each of these sites. Inevitabely they will find something that interets them and that will save them some money. I've found some of my favorite restaurants/bars this way. Another great tip is to come to Chicago during Restaurant Week. Sure, the restaurants that are ones that you often see in the tourist books, but being able to actually afford to eat at these places is acting like a local. :) You can find out more about Restaurant Week at ChooseChicago.com. report a problem
