Sounds like a no-brainer, but you'd think since it was the Olympics and all.. This isn't as much a tip so much as it is a warning: either beef up on your Mandarin or be VERY prepared for your arrival at Beijing Capital Airport. I didn't have the address to my destination and needed to find an internet cafe' or business center to log in to internet. I had extremely basic Mandarin skills and a pocket translation guide in written Chinese. NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHERE TO GET ONLINE. The largest and most advanced airport in the world with no internet access? I think not. I ended up hailing a cab to a fancy hotel just to get online! Even Starbucks didn't have wifi :( Although the baristas spoke more english than the airport employees. report a problem
