Red Capital Ranch, Beijing
Posted on: September 21, 2009 at 3:08PM
For those who want to experience a real taste of old China and want time to explore one of the least visited sections of the reconstructed wall at Mitanyu, the Red Capital Ranch is the perfect place to stay. It's semi-detached rooms are decorated in Tibetan furnishings and Chinese beds, horses wander about the property, and the views are composed of the "wild wall," which can be climbed from the resort. The Tibetan massages and largely Tibetan menu give this an air of, well, Tibet, but a 40-minute drive to Mitanyu solidly grounds you in China. I highly recommend staying here.
