We visited Cinque Terre, stayed in Manarola but found Vernazza to be our favorite of the 5 towns. It's a pretty little medieval village with nice shopping, eating and site seeing. Best tip; don't bring a car to Cinque Terre since you don't need it while there. You'll walk or ride the train between villages. report a problemPosted on: August 26, 2009 at 2:28AM
Cinque Terre can be a wonderful side trip. We stayed just a few miles away, in Chiavari, and loved it. Make the trip even more interesting and attend Nel Blu, an Italian language school in Chiavari. Take classes in the morning with people from all over the world and sight-see in the afternoon.
