We stayed in Monterossa last fall and I agree that it is the best place to stay. Not only can you drive there and park there, but it has more restaurants and shops than the other towns. We recommend staying there and exploring from there. We stayed in a wonderful hotel (Steno) at the top of the hill - it is the sister hotel of the highly recommended Pasquale. The Steno did not have great reviews and the description did not sound as nice as Pasquale. However, we liked the Steno much better. It has a great view, wonderful patios with olive and fig trees, and excellent rooms. The father and son who own the hotels were so nice to us. Since we could only get one night in each hotel, they moved our belongings. let us leave the car in the Steno parking lot, and were amazingly helpful and friendly. report a problem
