After research decided to stay in Monterosso and really enjoyed the town. I don't think that you could make a bad choice between the villages - just personal preference. The hiking is not too difficult - you can choose which villages to walk between or do all of them. The options of taking the train or the ferries give you so many options that you can choose the length of hike you prefer. Very scenic, good food and not too crowded as we visited in September. Did not rent a car as traveling around Italy was so easy and affordable by train and bus and more of an adventure. report a problem
