Driving to Monteverde

If you've rented your own vehicle, which I suggest if you’re brave enough to tackle the non-existent traffic laws, spend the extra bucks and get an SUV when traveling to Monteverde. The roads are beyond horrible and many people break down in small cars when en route to the hill top. I've even been told by Ticos themselves that money is not spent to repair the roads in an effort to keep people in town a little longer to spend more money... its worth it when you get there though. report a problem
