Early June is ideal for a visit to this most popular Greek island! Santorini's weather is perfect, high 80's, and the crowds haven't quite arrived yet (but yes, they'r on their way...). Apparently by August, the crowds even develop trash removal challenges on the island. DO take the 400+ stairs at the end of Oia's 'main promenade' down to the harbor restaurants (3) on the little Ammoudi's cove's waterfront - you'll feel the island is all yours. The little ATV-like rental cars were NOT recommended by locals who said there are more crashes than they like to announce. report a problem
