Having a first look the Market Bar in Fade Street it looked like a perfect place for my formers workmates and me to have a cool dinner. Although things were not going to be as smooth as we though. It benefits of a huge opened space downstairs with also some tables upstairs in a tiny and more quiet area. The sort of people places like this converted church attracts are very select and this is probably why is so popular. Although the service is very poor, we met there early for our great night out, talking to the manager we were told would have a table for our group in less than one hour, although after one hour she said we would need to wait at least another hour to get dinner in there. That was not a proper customer service though and it is just enough to give this place a very low rating as we did not even had the chance to taste their food. Later on I talked to a friend of mine who had already been in there before, he said food is not outstanding in Market Bar so if I had to give advice to someone else going there I would say please don't, there are loads of places in Dublin with great food, not so overcrowded and with a great service for the client. Examples. Ciao Bella Roma, Havana, Da Pino, Salamaca, Pintxo, La Taverna Di Baco, etc... ;-) Good luck. BTW: You cannot book in advance neither in Market Bar if you are not 15 people minimum. Like I said before, very poor service. I hope you respect my comments and it is not banned like in other sites. That was my experience so I wanted to share it with you. Thank you.
