Egypt has a treasure around every corner. One of my favorite places was the city of the dead. Not only does it have a really interesting history but I found the people there very friendly. If you sail on Lake Nasser in a Falucca, please bring ziploc bags. Small boys will paddle out and sing to you while their little boats are sinking and they cannot keep up with you and bail at the same time. Put some money in the bags and they will float so the boys can be rewarded.
