We came to Sunday lunch yesterday - 27th December. This was a birthday treat and much looked forward to. We were both most disappointed with the standard of the food. The lobster starter was hot in taste which was not acceptable.The roast beef came with a very strong gravy sauce poured all over it. It was far too overpowering for the beef(and we were not even asked if we wished to take gravy) in fact, I was unable to taste the beef. The Yorkshire pudding was cold hard and tasteless. The dessert however was very good as was the service. I have stayed and eaten with you before and have also treated family to meals breaks and teas. I was hoping to return to you as a guest for the night in the spring; sadly my partner is adamant that we stay elsewhere after this meal. carolyne@carolynemoran.com
