A block from the Elk River and 5 kilometers from the ski resort, this Best Western has friendly employees and pleasant rooms with modern furnishings. Its in-town location means prices are more reasonable than those closer to the ski hill. Rooms fall into three categories. Standard rooms include microwave, fridge, Internet, and cable; some even have fireplaces. Executive suites feature a separate living area and kitchenette. Theme suites are luxurious (albeit kitschy) and have Jacuzzis and customized décor (the French Country unit is the most tasteful). Boston Pizza has a lounge with satellite sports TV and a deck; the hotel's Uptown Café serves acceptable breakfasts.
