Even tough the colors are not as pretty going to Venice during off season gives you the opportunity to really explore this beautiful city. Last November my family was all alone in St. Mark's Square. My youngest son loved chasing the pigeons and we were able to take in the cathedral without any other tourists. It was so magical to have that all to myself. We also had the same experience in Florence. There were only about 20 people at the Academia and we sat and stared at David for almost an hour. So the weather is not the best but the opportunity to experience things without fighting your way in is worth it. report a problem
