Florence's nightlife can help you go beyond the tourist hordes and get a true taste of the city. Though there are a few megaclubs on the edge of town—like Tenax or Universale—the typical Florentine night out will consist of an aperitivo in a cool bar like The Lounge or Slowly, followed by dinner; or, dinner followed by a nightcap. This being Tuscany, wine is the libation of choice, but there's also a healthy cocktail scene in Florence—and if you're not a big eater, you can even make a meal out of the complimentary snacks served alongside predinner drinks in buzzing centro storico bars like Capocaccia or Negroni.
