Superbly unspoiled, family oriented (but hip enough for teens) and of course, boasting the best shelling in the world, Sanibel has marvelous sunsets, infinitely interesting wildlife and vegetation, a variety of restaurants and great shopping! Of great delight to us amateur boaters, was the ability to inexpensively rent a pontoon boat, receive a brief but thorough inservice and head out in the waters between Sanibel and Florida. We fished, parked at a island, saw manatee, dolphin and the place that Jimmy Buffett wrote about in Cheeseburger in Paradise and did it all at our own pace. report a problem
