Mont St. Michel..a mystical aura...

The faithful made the Pilgrimage here on their knees. Wait until you see the road! This area of Normandy used to become an island as the tide came in and out. (now it occurs two time a year on the solstices) It is alleged to be the place where Michael the Archangel took on the devil and there is a mystical aura all around. There is a cathedral with a town around it and the hearty may climb the over 900 steps to the top. See the systems the monks devised to transport items to the top. And.. if you are of age and health... have some calvados to experience a fine product of the region. report a problem
