My Favorite Paris Museum

(And that's saying a lot). You don't even have to be a Rodin fan to enjoy this museum. The building itself (particularly the painted ceilings and wall panels) is exquisite, and there is nothing like wandering through the rose garden in springtime. The sculptures, of course, are beautiful, emotional, sometimes harrowingly so -- and it's enjoyable to come here after viewing the Monets at the Musee d'Orsay or the Orangerie, and understand how Rodin translated the ideas of Impressionist painting into bronze and plaster. I almost hate to admit this, but the best feature of the Rodin Museum is that you can be in and out in about an hour - the perfect fix of French high culture for those with short attention spans.
