While in Papeete in September 2008 my friends and I ate at a GREAT french restaurant in downtown called "O'La Bouche. The foie gras salad was outstanding and one of my friends ordered Lamb brains (I know, sounds gross!). I tasted it and it was excellent -I would say taste, texture and consistency was similar to sweetbreads, if you like exotic dishes like that. Any fresh local fish on the menu is also a sure bet. Food, service, ambiance all great! Not too impressed with Papeete, though - it was like being in Tijuana on an island.. report a problem
