Granada restaurants

There are plenty of restaurants for a full sit-down meal in Granada, but tapas is another way to sample Andalusian cuisine. These small plates of food can be eaten for lunch or dinner (usually after 2 p.m. or 10 p.m., respectively) as an accompaniment to your sherry, wine, or draft beer. The small plates range from tortillas, cured ham, and beans to fried seafood and toast montaditos. Tapas is a good option if you want to eat light or late, and it's customary to visit a few bars rather than sit in one place all night. Note that unlike other Spanish cities, traditional tapas in Granada is often free.
