Take a cruise. Taking a cruise between the Greek Islands is a great way to get a taste for each island. I did this, and found it a wonderful way to see some of the smaller islands, other than just the more sought after locales such as Santorini and Mykonos. This way you can plan a destination vacation later to the places you liked best. Also, try the local fare, be adventurous in your dining, scope out the all your restaraunt choices, often grouped together, and find where the locals eat is often your best bet. Find a nice dining setting; if you don't prefer to sit where escorted by your server (often to the middle of a crowded dining area) and you spot a small table in the corner with privacy and a nice water view, don't be afraid to speak up. It will make or break your dining experience :) Order a nice bottle of table wine, order some of those nice little, salty lightly fried white fish with fresh lemon & get a nice fat greek salad to share, a little candle light, listen to the waves crash with that special someone and you will be sure your in heaven!!
