A perfect day on Santorini: Ferrying into Santorini, you are in awe of the cliffs surrounding the caldera and the white washed homes perched on the cliffs. After walking through modern Thira, rent a scooter or ATV and drive to Oia, one of the most spectacular of all island cities. Then return through Thira and stop at the wine tasting room on the edge of the caldera. Sip and relax, enjoying the incredible view. Return to Thira for dinner, perhaps seeing the perfect sunset or watching the donkeys return in the evening. Ancient Thira is also well worth the white knuckle ride with hairpin turns and rough road, along with a hike to the top. report a problem
