Concierge.com's insider take:
Despite steering clear of the villa boom so prevalent on neighboring islands, Grenada does have a handful of discreet, deluxe, homelike havens. These five duplex villas opened in spring 1999 at the True Blue Bay Resort. No, the hotel's beach is not Grenada's best, but it does have a good view of the island's south coast, where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic. And its two-bedroom villas come with five-star flourishes—kitchens, balconies, and private plunge pools—without five-star prices. The hotel's 35 conventional rooms and suites are also brightly painted, airy, and well priced—and most have sea views.
