Concierge.com's insider take:
Private villa rentals are still relatively new to Grenada, but with the recent arrival of the Mount Hartman Bay Estate, the custom is taking off both quickly and luxuriously. This 11-room property is located on a private peninsula in the wealthy residential district of L'anse Aux Epines—a favorite of yachters and expats. Its design evokes the abstract exteriors of Gaudí and Le Corbusier paired with the clean-lined interiors common in modern boutique hotels. The property is essentially divided into three distinct sections: a seven-bedroom hilltop home; an 88-foot infinity pool; and a separate three-bedroom beach house—all linked to the island's own private heliport. The estate is pricey (it starts at nearly $45,000 per week). But guests get pretty much everything they need for their stay: two Mitsubishi Shoguns, maid/chef, food, drinks, airport pickup, Jet Skis, 43-foot boat, and best of all (since the entire place is private), control of the guest list.
