If you are looking for a tropical paradise in FL, I would recommend Longboat Key. It is close to Sarasota, FL with the museums, shopping and dining options plentiful. Whether you are looking to be pampered at an elegant resort, or snuggle up in a cozy cottage, Longboat and Lido keys offer it all. The west coast of FL is much more tropical in nature than the east coast. Nothing is more romantic than a walk on the beach at sunset! And if you are looking for tennis or golf, it is all close by. Not your standard tourist fare like Orlando or Miami, but a less crowded option with lots to do. report a problem
