The party rocks on both sides of Victoria Harbor these days, with new bars opening around Kowloon and a bevy of reliable late-night revels that raise the decibels nightly around Hong Kong Island. You can get started at sunset on the floating party boat Jumbo and then head to hot spots like Lotus and Azure in Lan Kwai Fong. Live-music fans can get their fill, while those in search of bold-faced names should attempt to get their names on the strict guest list at Kee Club. Although Kee is officially private, well-dressed regular folk willing to wait will often find the velvet rope lowered for them. Otherwise, it's generally very easy to gain access to any of Hong Kong's nightspots, provided you are well dressed. Be sure to leave the flip-flops and shorts back at the hotel. Most bars stay open until one or two. Those who want to keep the party going should make friends with locals to discover the always shifting after-hours clubs that stay open till dawn.
