If you a heading to the iconic Ring of Kerry on your Ireland vacation but don't think you can handle sitting behind another tour bus (or on one) much longer, reserve a spot on a ferry boat headed to Skellig Michael. A wonderful day trip to these rocky islands of the coast of Kerry will take you past the bird sancuary of Little Skellig and onto the UNESCO World Heritage site of Skellig Michael. On this steep and beautiful island, you will see a monastic settlement from the 16th century and a wonderful view back toward the mainland. And best of all, the number of visitors to this remote spot is limited to no more than 300 people a day (probably less than you stood in line with at the Blarney Stone just a few days before:). report a problem
