If you don't fancy arguing with a pushy salesman in the Grand Bazaar, consider buying your leather at this no-risk, officially sanctioned store. Derimod is an Istanbul institution that's been on the scene for more than three decades now, selling locally produced leather goods that have been shaped into (relative) high fashion for both men and women: coats, jackets, shoes, and bags, all cut from the finest hide. You'll find stores in Nişantaşı and the Akmerkez shopping mall.
