If you're hiking thru Toscana as I recently did, and you get to the "borgo" of Greve in Chianti, go to MONTEFIORALLE, Montefioralle, 49, 50022, Greve in Chianti, Tel: 39-28956789 (info@aziendamontefioralle.com, www.aziendamontefioralle.com) to buy a bottle of wonderful "Montefioralle" Chianti Classico (for 8 Euro!), and the charming man may agree to open the beautiful church for you and show you the extraordinary 1200s-1300s paintings... & if so, do leave a donation in the church offerings box... There is also a lovely little restaurant in town (there's a sign outside which you will see as you walk thru the town), where you can dine on excellent boar sausage & ham and a fab desert of peccorino cheese, pears, honey, & walnuts, on a terrace overlooking the grapes & olives of Toscana... report a problem
