I was recently married and honeymooned at the Sandals, Negril. I do not recommed getting married there. It wasn't a pleasurable experience. The wedding staff are like robots and the photography is horrible!! I had to hire a professional and recreate the wedding once we were home to get decent pictures. As for the hotel itself...it isn't all that bad if you aren't a seasoned traveler. If you are a food snob stay away. If you are a liquor snob be prepared to pay additionally for the "finer quality" booze. The beds are the worst part of the resort. Although if you like a very stiff bed it is definitely for you. The ladies from the spa will stop you every few minutes and try to sell you services. I don't want to portray a completely bad image of the resort. Many of the problems we ran into are obviously corporate issues. Much of the staff are uncredibly nice. We loved our butlers and really took to one of our waiters that would even check on us to be sure we didn't need anything. We even met the GM who is truly an excellent individual and made sure that we were satisfied with our stay. (We eventually received a voucher for a week free due to our issues and Tropical Storm Nicole.) Though the resort is fairly quiet we did run into a couple nights where we could hear the bass from the music at one of the bars. To sum it up, if you are accustomed to the finer things in life this may not be your hotel. If you are just looking for a fun time and good beaches it's an option, though a little high priced for the quality of food and booze. But if you do stay at this hotel I recommed a swin up suit and do not go without a butler. I would also recommed paying the additional fee to have a car service to and from the airport.
