As a native New Yorker, I was surprised and impressed by the consistently good quality of the food at most any restaurant in Tokyo. I found myself in an upscale mall one day with little time to search for a place to have lunch. As I was riding down the escalator, there was a very attractive restaurant but it was Italian. I instantly thought to myself, how good can Italian food in Tokyo be? The answer, as I discovered with most every meal I had, was very good indeed. I could've been in Little Italy (in NY) or in Italy itself, for that matter. The Japanese are particularly fond of French food (and, most especially, French pastries), so these are sure to exceed your expectations. But when in Tokyo, do as they do - and have sushi, or pasta or ratatouille or paella. Chances are you will not be disappointed! report a problem
