Best travel advice for any where really, is go local! rent a house by owner instead of staying in hotel,way more bang for your buck choose a home that has it all,chairs snorkels,ect. Then shop at local grocery stores, best sushi is usually found here and for 2/3 the cost,grab local treats and hit the trails,or coasts. Try looking in local newspaper for events going on,,we ended up catching a heat wave sponsored by local businesses for kid's it was great we chilled on the beach watched kids surf and it was free Barbecue and drinks can't beat that.We even met Keely ,Pierce Brosnan's wife. If on any Hawaiian island must try the Lappert's ice cream YUM! As far as gifts again try the grocery store best for sea,salt,nuts,ect. Or for tackier stuff the all mighty ABC store really no need to go else where.Best place to grind hands down (even ask the locals) Tidepool's at the Hyatt Regency order the opah it was to die for. Last tip pack light you wont wear half the stuff. report a problem
