For anyone that is planning on taking an extravegant vacation to Hawaii but feel that it may be too expensive, STOP. I have the perfect suggestion for you. There is no reason for you to fly from island to island since most people feel that that is their only option to do. First, take either a direct flight from wherever you are to Honolulu or you can take a layover flight (it's even cheaper that way). Then from there, you can stay at a hotel for one night. Following your one night stay, take a 7 day cruise that will let you explore the islands of the Maui, Kauai, Oahu, and the Big Island. This will eliminate just about $1000+ dollars of the trip depending on how many people and what kind of flight you would have chosen to get to each island. After the cruise disembarks on the last day, you may choose to stay another night in honolulu so you can feel as if you have an extended vacation! I did this May, 2007 and I enjoyed my trip so much. Please let me know if this works out for you too! report a problem
