The last time I was on Kauai I was by myself & happened to pick up the local "weekly" paper in Kapa'a. I noticed an announcement of a Sierra Club hike into Waimea Canyon to Waipo'o Falls & called to join them. I thought I would be the minority amongst a group of local Sierra Club members, but it was just the opposite! Most of the group were visitors who had done the same thing....plus 2 local Sierra Club guides. It was a GREAT trip with fun people and awesome scenery! I would highly recommend calling the Sierra Club and joining a guided group hike! report a problem
