The Kalalau Trail is a long haul and not for everyone. Another option would be the Awa’awapuhi Trail which promises a trek through dense jungles, dry landscapes, and (weather permitting) incredible sweeping views of the Na Pali Coast. http://directoryofkauai.net/blog/kauai-hike-awaawapuhi-trail
