Las Vegas is a western city; until the recent City Center project the city spread out, not up. Because of the distances between destinations it is best to plan. The principal destionations in Las Vegas are the Strip, break it down into the North Strip and the South Strip, and downtown. If you can cluster your activities by geographical proximity you can see more and not be so tired. What to see? It is always changing so again plan, read, plan. It's always good to read the local newspaper in a new city and in Las Vegas it is no different. On Thursdays and Fridays a section of the paper, NEON, is dedicated to current happenings; a web video is also on the paper's web cite, lvrj.com. Another fine web cite to review before you go is lasvegasadvisor.com; it has top ten lists, current shows and a good listing of happy hours and Las Vegas values. report a problem
