Concierge.com's insider take:
With high-fashion labels like Diane von Furstenberg and Christian Louboutin, the Palazzo's collection of shops doesn't seem to offer much of a departure from those at the Wynn or Bellagio. But underneath the luxe sheen there's some character. At Double Helix, you can sip a glass of Duckhorn Merlot while owner Raymond Nisi, a former eye surgeon, gives helpful tasting notes on his not-so-common wines-by-the-glass. Vegas's master sommeliers have even been known to unwind here and pull a bottle or two from the adjoining retail shop. And don't miss a stop by Bauman's Rare Books, where friendly shopkeepers with MFAs in British history and creative writing display auction-quality vintage books, such as signed copies of Ken Kesey first editions and Frank Lloyd Wright sketches. The crowd favorite at the Palazzo is Barneys New Yorkthe only place in Vegas where you can snatch up Frédéric Malle fragrances and Thom Browne suits. A tip: Use Barneys's exclusive valet tucked in a corner next to the Palazzo's main entrance on the Stripit allows access to Barneys, the Palazzo Shoppes, and even the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian next door.
Open Sundays through Thursdays 10 am to 11 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 10 am to midnight.
