Lisbon restaurants

There's been an explosion in Lisbon's dining scene in recent years. Portuguese chefs—such as Henrique Sá Pessoa of Alma—have been making innovative moves with traditional fare. Destination restaurants, like the Michelin-starred Eleven, are no longer thin on the ground, so even if a restaurant has a big-name chef at the helm, you'll find competitive prices for top-notch eats. Note that the Portuguese tend to eat late in the evening, so to experience dinner like a local, don't book your table before 8:30 pm.
