I have almost nothing but amazing things to say about this hotel. This is the first review I have written because I was so impressed with......everything.
It truly is an oasis. I never wanted to leave!!!!
From the moment you arrive you are greeted by extremely helpful and friendly valet, and the smells of the lilacs over a tiffany inspired glass dome hits your nostrils that makes you forget wherever you just traveled from. Josh at the front desk was genuinely bright and helpful and even gave my husband and I a sizable upgrade for free. They have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at the front desk!! (My favorite thing in the entire world!) The entire atmosphere is exactly as this website describes. The extensive artwork collection is an absolute treat (and surprise!!). From the perfect temperature pool, to the sparse guests, amazing views, music..... basically it is a lapse away from chaotic life and a place to truly relax and indulge in your senses. My raspberry mojito was fantastic (only the sangria, which tasted like rose strawberry koolaide left more to be desired).
The rooms were cosy and beautiful at the same time. We had two different rooms due to us going to Palm Springs for two days between our stay here. One was what I assume is the largest suite with a kitchen, living room, separate bedroom/vanity area/ bathroom. The other was smaller, but had a fireplace and an AMAZING view. I would stay in either, at any point in time - I guess price would be the only difference.
If you like quaint boho chic, then I can't imagine any other hotel in the world would fulfill your requirements quite like this one would.
-- as a side note, we were the only american guests (that we could make out). We LOVED this- seeing as we skew European, and we reveled in the break from ....typical Americans.
We will be back as soon as possible, and many many many more times after that. I think they have spoiled me .... this is a tough act to follow!
