First off, go to New Orleans! Its so much more than Bourbon Street. Second, go to Bourbon Street! Make sure to get a hotel in the French Quarter or CBD though, because public transportation is really limited to the street car. From there, you'll be able to see all of the major sites and take the street car to Uptown. Don't think you can get by in Metarie or Kenner, you'll be nowhere near anything! Also, please be aware of your surroundings and don't go too far out of the Quarter away from the River. While the French Quarter is incredibly safe, especially during festivals, just a few blocks away the city gets very dangerous. report a problem
