Les Bains de Marrakesh, Medina, Marrakesh

We were a little unnerved by the last review, so it was with some trpidation that we went. However, after a botched attempt at a Spa at our Hotel we ran the risk. Easy to find (literally part of the city walls at the Bab Agnaou gate, go in the gate and immediately you will see the alleyway on your right), and once we were inside it reeked of quality). Sure the massage might not be right for you if you want to be kneaded by a moustachio'd East German breaststroke swimmer, but the firm stroking technique certainly sent us to sleep! Great relaxation area (although the staff, like all Moroccans, seem to spend their days chatting, only interrupting the flow of gossip long enough to attend to a client), and we came out with a lovely glow. Amazing smells, and library-like quiet. A far cry from Hotel Spas and highly affordable at €50 for a hammam, gommage and 1 hr massage.
