There are tonnes of beachs on Maui. But they're usually crammed with sunbathers or just plain people. We found this "secret" beach one day while we were driving down towards the Wailea Golf club. If you turn off onto Kaukahi st, which ends onto Makenna Road, and drive down for just a wee bit, you'll come up on a Forest to your right. if you can find street parking and walk through the forest, you'll come upon a long stretch of beautiful and clean beach with only a handful of people. Perfect place to feel secluded. report a problemPosted on: August 20, 2009 at 1:53AM

Our secret beach is half-way between Paia and Hana. Has it all... diving, swimming, bodysurf, great for oil painting the splashing water and white foam off the stark black lava rocks-- all very spectacular. If you can't find it we did not need the crowds anyway, kidding--
