Though the food is predictable (fish, sushi, salads, sandwiches) and overpriced, the staff of pretty nubiles makes this a hot spot almost any night of the week (happy hour is prime time on weekdays; later is better on weekends). Centrally located in Paia town, the surf shack decor draws tourists as well as locals. A drink at the bar is a good place to start if you're single. Friday nights they have dancing late.

Open daily 5 pm to 10 pm; Fridays until 1 am.
