This exuberant Latin-Asian restaurant (can we just call it "Lasian"?) feels a little like Buddha Bar set under a palapa. Owners Stewart and Monika Haverlack have managed to combine the tastiest elements of Mexican, Cuban, Brazilian, and Chinese cuisine—without even seeming like they're trying that hard. In the restaurant's series of loungey rooms, artfully dressed-down vacationers and expats share Szechuan shrimp wontons with chile poblano sauce; chipotle-drizzled vegetable tempura; and moo-shu duck carnitas (shredded pork) with mandarin pancakes. The smart ones stick around afterward for rounds of Bocatinis, made with vanilla-flavored vodka and crème de cacao.
Open Sundays through Wednesdays 6 to 11 pm, Thursdays through Saturdays 6 pm to midnight.
